Install & remove software

Install additional applications — Use App Center to install additional applications and make Ubuntu more useful.

Remove an application — Remove applications that you no longer use.

Add software repositories — Add repositories to extend the software sources Ubuntu uses for installation and upgrades.

Use Synaptic for more advanced software management — Synaptic is a powerful but complicated software management alternative to App Center.

Create a startup disk — Convert a USB flash drive into a volume from which you can startup and install Ubuntu.

Install languages — Install more translations and related language support packages.

You can choose the displayed language by adding a language suffix to the web address so it ends with e.g. .html.en or .html.de.
If the web address has no language suffix, the preferred language specified in your web browser's settings is used. For your convenience:
